Internet Exchange Points

Here at ALASCA, we have two IXPs: ALASCA IX and of course the mighty DD-IX. Peers exchange their local prefixes there. This way, they help to make the internet more resilient and to keep local traffic local.

Pods 0-7 can peer with ALASCA IX, while pods 8-15 can peer with DD-IX. In PVE, just attach the corresponding network to your router.

Peering at an IXP

Please reach out to one of the workshop organizers, if you want to peer with an IXP. They will quickly set up your peering and provide you with your IP addresses.
